Reed III’s welcomed high-flying Cheshunt Rosedale to Freman.
Cheshunt won the toss and elected to ask Reed to bat as the clouds began to gather. Saunders (28) and Bowman managed to combat some good bowling and challenging conditions early on - but scoring freely was difficult and Reed were well behind the rate at 48-2 at drinks.
Runs continued to be hard to come by and only M Baker (14) and S Dawson (14) entered double figures as Reed finished up on a below part 109-9 off of 40.0 overs.
In reply, Cheshunt Rosedale set about their chase quickly, reaching 52-0 off the first 6 overs and at this stage the game looked over. However, some spirited efforts from the bowling from J Heslam Jnr (5-1-32-2) and Sam Dawson (5-1-22-2) then reduced Cheshunt to 57-4 and Reed appeared to be back in the contest.
This was to be short-lived though, as Cheshunt managed to then knock off the remaining runs quickly in under 16 overs.
